Zesco United have been knocked out of the Caf Champions League after Zamalek and TP Mazembe drew 0-0 in GROUP A match at the Al Salaam Stadium in Cairo Last night.
Zega fans were waking up to the prospect of slim hopes of progressing out of the group stage but all that has been wiped out after the draw in Egypt.
The result means TP Mazembe qualify as they top the group on 11 points with one game in hand while Zamalek move to 8 points leaving Zesco United and Premiero De Agosto on 2 points each.
Zesco United still have two games to play and can reach 8 points but based on head to head they can not surpass Zamalek who managed to get 4 points over Zesco in the clubs two matches while.
Premiero De Agosto they still have a chance to progress if they win their last two games which includes a match against Zamalek.
For Zesco United this will be another disappointing campaign as they have failed to get out of the group stage of Caf Competition for the third time in a row.
